There are three different versions of VFD Ahanix has offered. Here is a listing of attributes that pertain to each.

• Stand-Alone VFD (Parallel Port)
Use of Parallel Port is its only drawback.
Works beautifully with Smartie Software
Smartie allows you to display virtually anything
M/B Temp, Fan Speed, HDD Info, Memory Info, CPU Speed, etc.
Windows xp MCE Driver is available for this.
No Remote, No IR Receiver
Custom Text Can Be Displayed

• USB Controlled VFD Girder Edition (External USB)
Clean internal IR receiver
Works beautifully with Girder Software
Girder is compatible with many HTPC related programs
DIGN Remote and Built-In IR Receiver
IR receiver works with DIGN Remote Only
Custom Text Can Not Be Displayed

• USB Controlled VFD MM Edition (Internal USB)
Works With Multi-Median Software
Custom Text Can Not Be Displayed
Clean internal USB and IR receiver
Excellent Remote Control Integration with Windows XP MCE
VFD Does Not Display MCE Information
